Whether you're starting out on your spiritual path or want to bring more magic and enchantment to your current practices, this course offers a wonderful foundation for spiritual growth and transformation. Inspired by the archetypes of the Celtic Pantheon, it brings ancient practices into contemporary life to allow you to go deeper with your mediumship, psychic and intuitive development, trance/channeling, and healing work.

Its focus on myth connects you to the ancient gods and goddesses. The incorporation of magical intention allows you harness the natural energy within you to manifest dreams and aspirations. Mystical practices help you access your inner wisdom and offer you an opportunity to intensify your connection to the ancestors and An Saol Eile, or the otherworld.

In combining the ancient Celts appreciation of the elements, earth, and all its creatures with their divination and liminal work, the practices offered over the course of these six weeks will help you to access deeper wisdom and find a new levels power within your spirit. Each week will have a different focus, developing your intuition, spiritual connection, manifestation, and inner healing.

Week 1 Myth and Mysticism

The course begins by introducing the main gods and goddesses in the Celtic Pantheon. These are the Tuatha Dé Danann, which was the ancient supernatural race that ruled Ireland before the coming of the Celts. Students will then take part in a Druidic journeying practice to the beat of the bodhrán to meet one of these beings, develop a lasting relationship, ask a question, and receive the wisdom needed at this time in life. Since animals feature strongly in Irish mythology, there will also be an opportunity to meet your power animal.

Week 2 The Thin Places

Ireland has many Thin Places, where the veil is thin between the physical world and An Saol Eile -- the other world that is now occupied by the supernatural beings of the Tuatha or the Sidhe. This week, you will learn about Thin Places, including Uaimh na gCait, the Cave of the Cats where Halloween was born. This will be followed by a practice in creating your own Thin Place at home, complete with various objects that will help you build the power in place to access An Saol Eile with greater ease. There will also be an opportunity to work with offerings and gratitude from this place.

Week 3 Ogma & Divination

Ogma, the warrior poet who is said to have created the ancient Ogham alphabet of Ireland, will be introduced this week, along with the ancient Ogham writing system. You will work in breakout rooms, using the Ogham symbols as a divination tool to access unseen wisdom and offer clarity to their partners for their path and purpose in this life. This practice also emulates one of the roles of the Druids, who acted as priests, teachers, and judges, and could access unseen information. (Ogham images and information will be provides in Course Resources.)

Week 4 Cloud Divination

Given the importance of the land and nature to the ancient Irish, it is no surprise that they engaged in the practice of cloud divination, pyromancy, and hydromancy. This week, you will have an opportunity work in breakout rooms with candle flames (fire) and water bowls to divine information for yourself and your partner.

Week 5 The Morrigan & Prophecy

This week we will meet The Morrigan, the Goddess of War, fate, and fertility. The Morrígan encourages warriors to do brave deeds, can cast spells to affect outcomes, and protects the fertility of the land. You will have an opportunity to do three practices this week in keeping with the threefold nature of The Morrigan. First, since The Morrigan was a shape-shifter, you will have an opportunity to invoke their power animal and journey to a place to receive a prophecy. This will be followed by a simple practice in intuitive magic (or intention) to help manifest that prophecy or whatever is needed most.

Week 6 Brighid & Healing

Brighid, daughter of the Dagda, the king of the Tuatha, is associated with wisdom, poetry, healing, and protection. This week, we will learn about Brighid. In the spirit of the Bard, you will have an opportunity to journey to An Saol Eile to channel wisdom and express it in the spirit of bardic poetry. The course will then finish with a healing practice, invoking the healing power of Brighid for the self, loved ones and the planet.

This course has been designed and taught by Irish Medium and best-selling author, Karen Frances McCarthy.

If you miss a class, a recording will be available for 7 days after each class.

What People Are Saying

“Karen's course on Celtic Myth and Mysticism is nothing short of outstanding. She has the uncanny ability to bring to life those gods and deities from ancient history. It awakened in me an interrst in exploring more books on these deities and Irish folklore. Additionally the exercises I learned is something I will continue as long as I live. I learned much and gained even more understanding for these deities and it contributes immensely to my development as a medium. No one else could have presented this course as Karen did. It was a journey into time and provided a meeting with these gods. I am grateful for this opportunity.”
